My Secret Substitute for Raspberry Vinegar

I think it's impossible to find Kosher Raspberry Vinegar.

No worries, I discovered that if you soak two bags of Celestial Seasonings Raspberry Zinger Tea in a cup of white vinegar -- you'll have a terrific substitute for raspberry vinegar! Just mix with oil and honey or agave nectar for a great salad dressing.

I have an amazing recipe for a balsamic vinagrette from my mom. we used to have it on salad every friday night when I still lived at home.

1 tbs white wine vinegar (maneshvits makes some i believe, or you can substitute regular vinegar)
1 tbs balsamic vinegar
1 tsp dijon mustard (not honey dijon, just plain dijon)
1/4 cup olive oil

mix first three ingredients well, whisk it while slowly pouring in the olive oil. this recipe serves about 2 large salads (but you can double/triple/quadruple it).

This is seriously the best salad dressing ever. it's addictive. Several times i have taken second or even third helpings on salad just to have more dressing. the salad i eat it with is:

field greens
dried cranberries/craisens
slivered almonds or walnuts
crunchy chow mein noodles
feta or gorgonzola cheese

you can easily have it without the cheese for shabbas...when my mom made it she also put in a bunch of shredded carrots and cucumbers and i think those litte tomatoes. the crunchy chow mein noodles are key. :) it goes really well with the cheese, so you can also have it for weekdays as well/instead.

Amazing! Thanks so much for sharing! Please feel free to share some more! This is so much Fun!
